YAHUKIMO - One of the military units under the command of the Indonesian Armed Forces Operational Command HABEMA, the Task Forces of the Infantry Battalion 6 Marines, is currently conducting mobile security at the border of Indonesia and Papua New Guinea, especially in the Yahukimo Regency area, Papua Pegunungan Province. On Saturday, 14 September 2024, the Marines Task Forces held a Territorial activity in the form of Social Service of Blood Donation at the Dekai Regional General Hospital (RSUD), Dekai District. This activity was held to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Indonesian Navy in 2024.
In his emphasis on the Soldiers, Commander of the Marines Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Rismanto Manurung, conveyed the importance of the Task Forces' attention to the basic necessities of the community around the Post. Therefore, since its assignment in Papua, the Kotis Dekai Post has conducted Social Communication with stakeholders in its Area of Responsibility to follow up on the emphasis. At the beginning of September, Captain Septian met the Director of RSUD Dekai, Mr Glent Nurtanio, regarding health problems experienced by the Dekai residents. Their discussion agreed to hold the Blood Donation on Saturday at the hospital.
After preparations, the Soldiers with RSUD Dekai Health Workers were ready to conduct the Blood Donation at the location. After the activity, Mr Glent expressed his gratitude by saying, "Thank you, Commander HABEMA Marines. Our bloodstock increased through this blood donation. God bless."
Upon receiving the activity report, the HABEMA Commanding General, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, commended the Marines Task Forces’ initiative to hold a Blood Donation at the RSUD Dekai. His words: 'The Marines Task Forces' initiative is a testament to TNI's commitment to provide the community’s basic need to support the acceleration of development in the Papua region.' This recognition from the highest authority in HABEMA is not just a commendation but a testament to the significant impact of such initiatives on the region's development. It instills profound hope and optimism about their potential to shape the region's future positively. It makes the Task Forces and the community feel recognized, valued, and respected for their efforts. It gives everyone a sense of hope and optimism about the region's future development.
